Huanqiu Visitors to Hanas Group

On the afternoon of December 23, a delegation from China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering Corporation led by general manager Wang Xinge, vice general manager Zhang Laiyong visited Hanas and held discussions on further cooperation. The attendance from Hanas are Ma Fuqiang, CEO, Zhang Yi, director of group office, Wang Shaobo, director of group strategy planning, Wang Yong, group HRD& VP of LNG business unit, Yang Qian, deputy finance director, Wang Lifu, deputy director of group strategy planning and Du Yanzhong, VP of operation management for power generation& Zhuhai midstream project for LNG business unit.

Ma Fuqiang welcomed the delegation’s visit and said Huanqiu was a trustworthy partner for its abundant comprehensive strength, top talents and industry experience. Sound cooperative relations have been built since the early work on LNG terminal projects in Putian, Zhuhai and Jiangyin. He hopes that Huanqiu could provide with talents and technique actively and accelerated its pace on Ningxia 5 mtpa LNG project of Hanas through full cooperation from both sides.

After the introduction of Hanas’ four business units, Wang Xinge appreciated the trust given and highly recognized Hanas for what has been accomplished in recent years. He pointed that Huanqiu would do their best on high-quality service and capable force, speed up on compiling the prefeasibility study report, eventually to contribute to Chinese energy transformation jointly.

Compilation of the prefeasibility study report on the LNG project has been entrusted to Huanqiu Corporation. Ningxia 5 mtpa LNG project of Hanas, located in Ningxia Yanchi County, has a total investment of 10 billion yuan with proposed devices’ daily gas capacity of 18 million scf, annual output of 5 million tones and annual gas capacity of 6.5 billion scf. The project, scheduled to start in 2017, is a two-part operation, of which the first part is to achieve annual output of 2.6 million tones with investment of 6 billion yuan. Both parts will be up and running in 2020.

The project is a major initiative to follow the request of China on energy development strategy and its significance in building Ningxia a large-scale energy& chemical manufacturing base at country level can’t be ignored. When it finished, 5 million tones of diesel oil will be replaced to further enrich energy types and improve structure of energy consumption of Ningxia.

As a clean, efficient and safe energy, LNG can vastly improve quality of atmospheric environment and society with its huge potential for application and in market, especially in transportation. As the state energy development strategy says that alternative traffic fuels must be actively developed. In 2014, Hanas shared 15.2% of LNG sales volume in China and for the coming 13th five year plan, Hanas will quicken its pace in integrating the entire LNG value chain. Upstream, with Hanas enlarging the scale of pipeline gas and buying LNG overseas. Midstream, with the group currently developing LNG terminal projects and plants. Downstream, where Hanas will continue to focus on LNG for transportation in China and plan on building thousands of retail stations and hundreds of go-green centers. Completing Ningxia LNG project will reinforce Hanas’ strength in midstream and expand its market share.
